The hollow, all natural cellulose fibers and especially designed and patented adhesive form a cohesive monolithic bond with the substrate material. Left exposed, Cellumax SP-5A is aesthetically pleasing as an architectural ceiling design solution which also just happens to be one of the best thermal, acoustic and fire insulating barriers available today, C-Nat can also be applied directly to the underside of the outer roof membrane. Often applied to concrete, tiles and metal roofs, it is truly versatile within it's application thus allowing more architectural design choices, often reducing costs by acting both as the insulating barrier and an attractive ceiling surface.

SP-5A insulates by creating dead air spaces between and with its hollow fibers. Because SP-5A fibers are sprayed-in-place, they fill cracks, seams and voids, forming a monolithic coating over the substrate which helps reduce air infiltration.
Unlike prefabricated insulations, SP-5A has on voids or compressed areas to reduce thermal efficiency. The result is a more effective in-place product with exceptionally low heat loss characteristics.
For areas such as indoor pools and ice arenas, SP-5A aids in condensation control. The proper combination of SP-5A and ventilation prevents condensation on metal, concrete and other surfaces. SP-5A actually reduces ventilation requirements, saving in both the ventilation equipment investment and operation costs.
The resilient fibers of SP-5A absorb sound energy instead of reflecting it , reducing reverberation time and making speech and music more intelligible. Excessive noise is eliminated with the application of SP-5A while greatly improving ambient sound quality in a wide variety of building projects including auditoriums, sports facilities, detention facilities, television, sound studios, convention centers and parking garages.
CB-5A is a blend of specially prepared cellulose fibers, organic in nature, treated with adhesive and fire resistant chemicals. When sprayed in place, the interlocking fibers result in mass which produces excellent sound thermal properties.
CB-5A is pneumatically spray-applied in wall and floor/ceiling cavities to form a monolithic coating. This process seals cracks and holes in the wallboard, around plumbing and electrical outlets, vent ducts and other irregularities. There are no compressed areas or voids to allow sound leaks, R value reduction, or air infiltration.

3. Energy-savingSince CELLUMAX® can considerably reduce heat transmission from roof or wall, the room temperature is 10-12 C lower than the external temperature (depending on environment). After the air-condition has been turned on for a few minutes, the room temperature quickly falls. Consequently, the workload of the air-conditioner is cut, and 40% of the energy is saved.
4. Fire-resistantComposed of fire-resistant boric acid, CELLUMAX® is non-flammable. When burning, it is only partly consumed and will not enable the fire to spread.

6. Non toxicCELLUMAX® is a natural product made of pulp, processed with chemicals, harmless to humans, although detectable by adour. Unlike other insulators, it produces no toxic smoke when burned.

8. Mildew proofCELLUMAX® systems are graded in category 0 according to DIN IEC 68, part 2 – 1 (No risk of fungal attack). The material is hydroscopic and regulates air humidity.
9. Noise inhibitingCELLUMAX® is fluffy, thus able to inhibit noise penetration. It can reduce loudness by 25-50% volumes of 20-60 decibel can be lowered to a comfortable threshold.
